Pentewan

An attractive village with narrow streets, small cottages, shops, pub and a large sandy beach. The harbour is now silted up, but work will soon start on its renovation. It was once a busy port for the China-clay industry. In 1989 Beatos, a local Blackehner Stallion was filmed on the sands for the Lloyds Bank television advertisement.

At the cycle hire centre we also provide a tranquil picnic area by the river, a great place to enjoy a hot or cold drink or even an ice cream.
