Pentewan Cycle Hire

At our centre, we provide Cornwall bike hire in an attractive village with narrow streets, small cottages, shops, a pub and a large sandy beach. The harbour is now silted up but was once a busy port for the China-clay industry, an industry that stretches back into the fascinating Cornish heritage. In 1989 Beatos, a local Blackehner Stallion was filmed on the sands for the Lloyds Bank television advertisement, creating an iconic image.

There is a board display in the corner of the harbour near the gate entrance from the village square depicting pictures of its previous life; showing a little of the rich heritage of the region. At the cycle hire centre, there is also a tranquil picnic area by the river, a great place to enjoy a hot or cold drink or even an ice cream. These are all available from our bike hire centre.
